So what is this Making Roads?

Making Roads is a newsletter Blog. That means that I write it like a blog and you get it in your email inbox. You can also read it on the Substack website or the mobile app.

Making roads comes from a line I thought of around the time I was writing my CAT (the common admission test for IIMs) in 1999. The line was kind of an answer to my question to myself: who am I? I started putting this line in my email signature and in many ways it has shaped my career and thinking since then.

This newsletter is about making roads - doing things that haven’t been done yet and things that hold value for others. These roads could be past roads and the patterns that can be seen in their making. These could be new roads and the directions in which they may veer to. The analogy aside, expect posts with themes around startups, technology, building communities, building products and economics.
